Opportunity statue

in ancient Greece, there were statue everywhere. One man who lived in athenes centuries ago wrote that there were more statue than people at one point. if you were to walk in athens, you will sure to see one statue particular. it was a statue called OPPORTUNITY. it was a vivid illustration of how opportunity works in our lives. it was a statue of a person who had long, flowing hair in front of his face- but was completely bald at his back. Weird...but revealing. To put it simply, you could grab it when it was coming towards you, but you could never get hold of it once it had passed.

thats how opportunity works. TIME is FLEETING. you could never get it back once it is gone. someone said 'Time is more valuable than money'. you can always get more money, but you can't get more time.''. Leaders understand this truth, and they manage their time wisely. they recognize that everyone gets the same amount of minutes each day. but not everyone make something out of those minutes. Let me ask you a question. What if i told you that someone anonymously deposits some amount of money into you bank account everyday. Each day its the same amount: 86,400 pennies ( which amount to $864) it is your to spend however you wish- but there's a catch. you have to use it or you will lose it. any amount still in the account at midnight each night, will be taken away. here;s my question: how would you spend that money?

i bet you think long and hard on how to spend that money. you might even start making a list on how you could spend it- what would you buy? how much you'd spend, when and where. why would you take it seriously? Simple. that's a pretty good amount of money and you don't want to waste any by the end of the day.Bingo! thats how we need to treat our time.

i have some good news and bad news. the bad news is, no one is depositing that much money into your bank account. however, each day,God give you 86,400 seconds to spend, invest or waste.
